The provincial unemployment rate has increased by a whopping 36% since the NDP formed gov’t: AB, once the land of unrivaled prosperity & opportunity, now has the highest unemployed rate outside of Atlantic Canada (Calgary & Edmonton rank first & third for major cities nationwide!). 60,000 full-time jobs have been destroyed, & 200,000 thousand AB’s are unemployed! At the very time AB needs job-creators, businesses are fleeing the province. Investment is down 37% since the NDP took office, & it’s no wonder why: the NDP has raised taxes over & over again on our job creators & workers. Let’s not forget that they implemented the job-killing carbon tax--the single largest tax hike in AB’s history (a tax they never mentioned during the election!)--& this is only after two years! Who knows what the NDP might have planned next-or what they might do-if they get another term to further implement their ideological agenda! We must also remember the burden the NDP is placing on future generations: AB, debt free only a few years ago, is facing $71Billion debt by 2019! Provincial spending is up nearly 16%. Again & again, the NDP gov’t is NOT looking out for everyday hardworking AB’s; but our Caucus will continue to hold them to account-every day!
