"This report confirms exactly what we've been saying,” said PCAA Leader Jason Kenney. “The NDP - along with their Liberal allies in Ottawa - are making a bad situation much, much worse. By recklessly raising taxes and red tape, they are driving oil and gas jobs out of our province. It's time the NDP stop kicking Albertans while they're down."
Instead of bowing to an environmental lobby that has made it abundantly clear that it will never grant so-called social license for the production and export of our energy products, Notley and Trudeau should listen to industry experts and immediately adjust their course before more damage is done to the Alberta economy.
“We have repeatedly warned the NDP that their policies were costing tens of thousands of jobs and driving billions in investment out of the province,” said PC Energy Critic and MLA for Calgary-South East, Rick Fraser. “This government cannot claim to have the backs of everyday Alberta families when their policies have had had a direct impact on these families ability to earn a living. Notley and Trudeau now have an opportunity to create 24,000 jobs and grow the province’s economy by $5 billion over the next three years and we strongly urge them to take it.”
