Progressive Conservatives are supporting the recommendations made by the Information and Privacy Commissioner and the Public Interest Commissioner relating to the investigation into records management and are calling on the government to move to implement them as soon as possible.
“We are pleased to see that this report determined that the allegations of wrongdoing were unfounded,” said Ric McIver Progressive Conservative Interim Leader. “However this report clearly shows that there was a lot of confusion and misunderstanding by staff at the time. There are many lessons that can be learned from this investigation which has helped to ensure greater accountability and transparency going forward. We agree with and support all 16 of the report’s recommendations and are looking forward to seeing them implemented by the government.”
